Chris Iversen is an Emmy-winning editor based in New York. His work spans feature documentaries and television series for Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, Hulu, Peacock, Showtime, VICE, and ESPN. His films have premiered at Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, and Telluride.
Originally from Northern California, Chris spent years working at All The Best Video, where he religiously screened new releases so he could recommend them to customers and helped shepherd the store into the brave new world of DVD. He studied film at San Francisco State University before moving to New York to work at Troma Entertainment, the world’s longest-running independent movie studio, where his first assignment was to dress as a zombie chicken in Times Square to promote Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead.
Selected work includes Alicia Keys: Girl From Hell’s Kitchen, the Closing Night film of the 2026 Tribeca Festival; Willie Nelson & Family, which premiered at Sundance; and We Could Be King, for which Chris won an Emmy.
His work ranges from music and cultural biography to sports, investigative journalism, and character-driven documentary, with a particular interest in single-camera vérité, archival storytelling, and finding structure in complexity.
